From the Pastor's Desk...

Our last week of January! Winter is moving on!! We are also at the beginning of Ordinary Time, liturgically, here in church. Our time is well-ordered as people of faith. May the peace of Christ be with you as we see Jesus share himself with people. Jesus is also with each one of us. May you always know of his love and mercy. Pray to him for whatever you need—healing, guidance, answers.

Last week many people were in Washington, D.C., for the Right to Life March. It is the biggest gathering of a group in the entire world for human rights. This annual event is powerful, and I hope you were able to see some of the events on television or on your electronic devices. So many people coming together because they care about life. May we remember to respect all kinds of life, especially the unborn and the vulnerable.

Next weekend is the Presentation of the Lord. Jesus is in the temple; and so concludes anything that might be left over from Christmas. With Candlemas, our nativity scene will be put in storage for another year. May the peace, hope and promise of the Christ Child be with you and your loved ones all through the year in an active way. How blessed we are because of our faith.

Peace……..Fr. Jeff
