The Baptism of the Lord—this special day concludes the season of Christmas. We, like Jesus, are baptized, and together we all share this bond that unites us. May we always recognize we have Christ, who is risen from the dead, in our life. Tomorrow, we enter into Ordinary Time until Lent, Wednesday, March 5th. I pray that you may enter into the seasons of the year to see God in new ways, and to allow the beauty of each Liturgical season to deepen your faith.
Thank you for your participation in the Christmas time here in the parish. Your presence in different ways has made a difference as we come together. Many people have been part of liturgy, art and environment, and active participation in the mass. Thank you for all you do here at Christ the King. Thank you for your financial contributions that make so much possible. May we be aware of God in so many ways as we move into this new year of 2025.
It is the cold, flu, covid season. Many people are “vulnerable” and so I ask everyone to please be aware of others. Please understand some people may want to keep a kind of a “distance” in different forms. Please be attentive to one another as so many people are ill. If you are not feeling well, please stay home—you are excused from attending mass when not feeling well.
Happy New Year………Fr. Jeff
