From the Pastor's Desk - 4/13/2025

    May God bless you and your loved ones as we enter into Holy Week. May these days ahead be a time of prayer and reflection on the suffering of Christ. May the peace of Christ be with you as we now prepare for the great celebration of Easter!

    Palm Sunday afternoon I will be in church to hear confessions. There are no more scheduled confessions before Easter. I will also have the Oil of the Sick for those who wish to be anointed. Confessions from 2:00-4:00.

    We want people to come to the special services going on for the Triduum, so we have them all at the same time, and hopefully daylight to help with driving, etc. Holy Thursday is when we remember the Last Supper when Jesus gives us the Eucharist. We also have a representative group from the parish for the annual “washing of the feet”, taken from the gospel. The church will be open until 10:00. Holy Thursday Mass begins at 6:00. On Good Friday we remember Jesus on the Cross—we come forward and venerate the cross. Good Friday Service with Holy Communion at 6:00. Holy Saturday, the great Easter Vigil, (about 2 hours long) will begin outdoors with the Easter Fire at 6:00. Easter Sunday morning; regular mass schedule of 8:00, 10:00 & 12:00.
