In this month of May, let us remember the Blessed Mother who was the handmaid of the Lord. She said “yes” to what was asked of her, trusting in God. This is a good time to renew your relationship perhaps with saying the rosary and reading up on things related to Mary.

With so much “happening” in our world today, many have expressed concern. I encourage you to think of 3 stable people who were focused, knew who they were, and trusted in God—Jesus, Mary and St. Joseph. Jesus is the Son of God. He loved his followers, washed their feet, ate with them and told them from now on, the bread and wine are his body and blood. After his resurrection he appears to them and says “Do not be afraid”. St. Joseph took care of Mary and Jesus. He trusted in God, not knowing what it was “all about”. Yet he persevered and had courage. And Mary, carried the author of all life within her, raised Jesus, and even stood at his cross as he suffered and died. I believe that if we can remind ourselves of these 3 people who are part of our faith, they may help us in our time of sadness.

This weekend we want to congratulate our 2nd graders as they make their First Holy Communion. May Jesus be with them not only today, but throughout their entire life.

Peace……..Fr. Jeff
